Whilst I found this book interesting, it wasn t a really gripping read I found the drama and especially Fulton s character somewhat strained It s almost like the book was written to plug a gap in the bigger plot line, which is something of a shame as the subject matter is actually very interesting and of historical importance Renzi s clandestine activities were frankly annoying and read like an impersonation of the Aubrey Maturin setup but without the same persuasiveness Somewhat disappointi Whilst I found this book interesting, it wasn t a really gripping read I found the drama and especially Fulton s character somewhat strained It s almost like the book was written to plug a g
